As plans for the 750million regeneration of Bracknell town centre progresses, Bracknell Forest Borough Council (the Council) is delighted to welcome to the team Chris Mansfield, who joins as Town Centre Regeneration Co-ordinator.

Chris is responsible for co-ordinating all Council functions to facilitate the delivery by Bracknell Regeneration Partnership (BRP) of the comprehensive regeneration of the town centre.

Chris joins the team from the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, bringing with him over 20-years of experience in a town centre management role, to include town planning, visitor management, town partnerships and economic development. Chris has particular expertise in regeneration and redevelopment projects, in High Wycombe and more recently in Windsor and Maidenhead where he worked with major retailers and commercial businesses to ensure the smooth running of regeneration plans. He also worked closely with the Ascot racecourse project management team to ensure the new racecourse was completed on time and with as little disruption to local residents and businesses as possible.

Victor Nicholls, Assistant Chief Executive at the Council comments: “Chris joins us at an exciting time. He brings to us a wealth of experience and expertise and will help us deliver the town centre the community wishes and deserves.”

Chris Mansfield comments: “It is a privilege to be part of a team that has brought the regeneration plans this far and I look forward to working closely with the stakeholders involved, to learn more about the town and its people and help turn the plans develop into reality.”

David Gregory, Development Manager at BRP comments: “This is a particularly complex and demanding project and as plans for the regeneration continue apace, we are pleased that Chris has joined to further strengthen our relationship with the Council and work with us to progress plans.”
