Safety first for Bracknell Regeneration Partnership
15/12/06
Safety comes first for Bracknell Regeneration Partnership (BRP), as a further seven members of the team receive training certificates from the Royal Berkshire Ambulance Trust in first aid and the use of life saving defibrillators.
The defibrillator training is a pivotal element of providing a safe and secure town centre, and BRP have now trained a total of 13 key members in the effective use of the life saving device. If someone is having a heart attack it is essential to help them within three minutes, and the defibrillator is key to this.
Rob Morris, Retail Manager for BRP comments: “We want to make Bracknell an even safer place to shop and by training more of our staff in the use of the defibrillator, we are better able to make a difference in those crucial key moments before the emergency services arrive, in helping a shopper or visitor who encounters difficulties.”
Life saving training is another initiative taken by BRP to make Bracknell a better place to visit and shop. Our dedicated full time Town Centre Ranger works closely with BRP to improve shopper safety, and schemes such as the Safer Shopping Scheme are effectively lowering crime – Thames Valley Police recently reported a 15% drop in crime rates in Bracknell as a result of such successful schemes.
