Bracknell Regeneration Partnership (BRP) is delighted to unveil the smart new branded security and housekeeping uniforms for Princess Square new service contractors.

MIITE Security and KGB Cleaning Services joined the BRP team earlier this year to take a proactive and comprehensive approach to cleanliness and site security, not only in Princess Square but further across the town centre.

Rob Morris, Retail Manager for BRP comments: “BRP aims to provide a safe shopping environment for all shoppers and the smart, highly visible and branded security uniforms contribute to providing a secure and family-friendly shopping environment for all visitors to Bracknell. All our staff are trained in customer services standards and shoppers will find them approachable and helpful. We have already seen noticeable improvements in cleanliness and responsiveness.”

The new security team work closely with BRP and its dedicated full time Town Centre Ranger to lower crime and keep Bracknell safe. Recently, Thames Valley Police announced that crime in Bracknell has dropped 15% in the last year.

Bracknell Business Against Crime (BBAC) is a successful town wide initiative, which has contributed greatly to this reduction in crime. As a result of more retailers working together to support the Safer Shopping Scheme, there are now more than 80 retailers linked to a comprehensive CCTV network linked through a radio network. This allows the team to respond efficiently to incidents across the town centre. McDonalds is the latest retailer in town to join the Safer Shopping scheme, using a retailer’s radio to help police track suspects across the town centre.

Sam Buckley, Bracknell’s Town Centre Ranger comments: “The businesses and retailers who invest their energy in support of BBAC are making Bracknell a safer place to be, reducing crime and creating more community spirit.”
