Rob Morris, Retail Manager for Bracknell town centre, has been appointed Chairman of the retail property organisation BCSC for its South and West Region.
As Chairman, Rob has pledged to promote even higher standards of professionalism amongst shopping centre executives in the South and West Region, as the role of Centre Manager in today’s retail economy continues to grow and become increasingly dynamic.
Rob, who is employed by Bracknell Regeneration Partnership as Bracknell’s Retail Manager, has extensive experience in the retail industry both as a Centre Manager and retailer. His role with BRP is necessarily broad, supporting retailer liaison, facilities management and operations of Princess Square, as well as the retail pitch of the wider town centre as well.
At the heart of the retail property industry, BCSC is a professional body that represents every aspect of retail property activity and provides a forum for networking and research, while representing the profession to the Government. It has more than 2,000 members including retailers, developers, owners, agents, architects, local authorities and others with an interest in the managed retail environment.
Rob Morris comments:
“BCSC members in the South and West Region have much to offer in terms of best practice expertise and new technological developments in the industry. I am delighted to be appointed to Chairman and look forward to the next two years during which time I hope to increase membership numbers and grow networking and knowledge sharing resources throughout the region.”
Michael Green, Chief Executive of BCSC comments:
“We are delighted to welcome Rob Morris to this important role within BCSC and hope he enjoys a fruitful and rewarding term as Chairman. Rob has a lot to offer BCSC in terms of knowledge sharing for best practice, and his leadership as seen in Bracknell, will be a key part of this. Retail and retail destinations play a critical role in the success of any town or city and I know that Rob will be taking that message far and wide in the region as well as helping identify regional best practice that can be shared throughout the industry.”
