Bracknell Regeneration Partnership continues its support of the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance...

Bracknell Regeneration Partnership (BRP) is delighted to present Mrs Stevie Horton, Head of Fundraising at the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust (TVACAAT), with a cheque for 1,683.
As well as pledging a donation of their Christmas Card budget last year, BRP has also been collecting from town centre events and promotions. This includes donations made to Santa during Bracknell’s Christmas celebrations and entrance fees from BRPís town centre Pancake Race in February.
Mrs Horton comments: “We are very grateful for this brilliant donation and to Bracknell Regeneration Partnership for their continued commitment and support of the Air Ambulance Trust. We rely solely on the generosity of companies such as BRP, as well as donations from the local community, to fund this life saving service.”
Helen Barnett of BRP comments: "We are a long-term supporter of the Trust and recognise their invaluable contribution to the community. They need donations to keep the life saving 999 helicopter flying and we are delighted to be able to do a small part to help.”
The Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance, which is based at RAF Benson, was launched in June 1999, and provides a life saving service for the Thames Valley area covering Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and North Hampshire.
The Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust is the charity funding the service and is not funded by the National Lottery, but relies on sponsorship and donations for the running cost of 1,500,000 per annum.
The yellow B’lkow 105 helicopter carries life saving equipment and is crewed by a pilot and two paramedics. It can transport one patient to one of several hospitals in the area with landing facilities, or to a specialist hospital if required. The paramedics are provided by the NHS; all other costs must be funded by the Trust. Visit www.airambulancetvac.org for further information.
