HEADLINES IN THE PINK!

29/10/07

Bracknell hairdresser Headlines has pledged its support to Breast Cancer Awareness this month, offering great incentives to raise awareness and having fun while contributing to a worthwhile cause.

Throughout the month of October Headlines’ customers, at both the stores on Crossway store and in Princess Square, have been given the opportunity to win great prizes in the £1 raffle. Prizes include a set of pink hair straighteners and a top-to-toe makeover. Customers can also benefit from a 15% discount on the new Beauty Treatment menu.

Owner Alan Farmery comments: “We support this important campaign every year and do our best to raise awareness and get our customers donating. We decorate all our windows in pink, dangle bras from hangers and even dress up in matching pink outfits every Saturday! They even try to get me to wear a pink dress, but of course, it clashes with my iridescent blue shoes! Ultimately we are just trying to have a bit of fun while spreading a very serious message.”

Headlines’ staff member Sam has shown his support by dying his hair pink!

In support of the campaign, Bracknell Regeneration Partnership’s Louisa Wright-Wastell popped into Headlines for a new hair do and as these photos show, she certainly got star treatment! She comments: “It is great to see a team work together to support an important campaign such as this. I am only too happy to be a part of it. At BRP we believe it is the efforts of everyone in the community that make a big difference. Recently, BRP Marketing Manager, Helen Barnett, completed the £5k Run for Life in Reading in under 30 minutes, raising over £250.”
