Keeping you up to date around town

ReOrsa Artists Project No. 2 – September 2008

18/07/08

This September Bracknell town centre will once again be hosting the activities of the ReOrsa artists, an artist-led initiative to support and promote professional practising visual artists living in the Thames Valley.

Bracknell Regeneration Partnership will be providing the temporary use of several vacant shop windows for an ‘Art Walk’ through the town centre and one vacant shop space for a large group art exhibition.

These activities will be open and free to the public, providing an opportunity to experience contemporary art outside of the traditional gallery or museum settings of London.

Helen Barnett, marketing manager at Bracknell Regeneration Project comments, “We are really pleased to be involved with ReOrsa once again. This is a great initiative for the town centre and provides visitors to the town with an opportunity to check out the fantastic work of many local artists. I am confident the exhibition will be a success and I look forward to having a look myself!”

This is the second project for ReOrsa in Bracknell, following the successful group exhibition on the High Street last October. This newest project will use the theme of ‘Observations’ and will showcase work that spans a diverse range of art forms and media, reflecting the real diversity of work being created by artists in the area today.

Further information on the project and participating artists will be available in late August or visit the web site www.reorsa.org to read more about ReOrsa.
