HAMPSHIRE ROSE BOWL HOSTS FIRST SOUTH & WEST RETAIL PROPERTY REGIONAL CONFERENCE

17/10/08

Shopping centre managers from across the South and West will be assembling at the Hampshire Rose Bowl on Thursday 2nd October for their first ever regional conference.

With retailers under pressure from unprecedented economic and social change, the need for a strong regional industry body is vital in helping managers respond to the challenges that they face in malls and on the high street.

The conference will bring together more than 70 delegates from Plymouth to Bracknell, as members of BCSC (formerly the British Council of Shopping Centres) come together to hear keynote addresses from a variety of industry experts.

The conference speakers include Eileen Connolly, Chair of the BCSC Retail Marketing Committee, who will be talking about how to target shoppers and best practice in this field. There will also be experts covering Fire Safety and a special update on the threat of terrorism from Special Branch*.

Rob Morris, Chairman of BCSC South & West commented: “We are delighted to bring the first regional conference to the Hampshire Rose Bowl. The South and West region is growing fast with a number of new shopping centres having opened over the past two years, including Cabot Circus in Bristol and Princesshay in Exeter.”
