BRACKNELL IN BLOOM IS BACK
A selection of creative floral displays are set to spruce up Bracknell town centre, as preparations get underway for this year’s Bracknell in Bloom 2009 campaign.
Bracknell in Bloom 2009 aims to brighten up the town centre and its surrounding villages through the planting of trees, shrubs, and flowers.
The campaign is organised by Bracknell Forest Council and Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, who hope that everyone will get involved and build on the huge amount of entries that were received last year.
Local residents and businesses can get involved by entering the Your Gardens competition. With a range of different categories to suit every type of garden and gardener, anyone can take part and showcase their contribution to the local environment.
Helen Barnett, marketing manager for Bracknell Regeneration Partnership comments; “At Bracknell Regeneration Partnership we are delighted to be part of the Bracknell in Bloom 2009 campaign once again. We are well and truly going for gold this year and I am really looking forward to seeing the bright floral displays across the town centre and borough.”
Bracknell in Bloom 2009 also acts as a focus for the Thames and Chilterns regional entry into the Britain in Bloom competition. A team of representatives from the Royal Horticultural Society will visit Bracknell in July to judge the town’s entry.
Vincent Paliczka, Bracknell Forest Council director of environment, culture and communities adds: “We are really excited about this year’s campaign and we hope to repeat Bracknell’s continued success in Britain in Bloom. Every effort has been made to ensure our entry is bigger and better than ever.”
