It's a right royal 'Do' as Bracknell hairstylist enjoys a visit from the Queen

Dave Alan Unisex Hairstylist on The Broadway, in Bracknell, has spent the past week dusting off its best china in order to celebrate a much anticipated visit from the Queen, which took place last Saturday. Well, not exactly THE Queen, but a look-a-like, who visited the salon as part of a competition by PG Tips to celebrate their 75th birthday.
UK salons were invited to write to PG Tips with a reason why they should win this prestigious visit from ‘the Queen’. Dave Alan hairstylists suggested that they deserved the visit because, at the time, they had just celebrated their 25th anniversary.
Queen Tealizabeth and her Butler marked the 75th birthday celebrations, which took place on Saturday 19th March at 3.15pm, with a Special Blend Limited Edition Tea that was created especially for the occasion.
Dave Alan, owner of Dave Alan Unisex Hairstylist said: “When we entered the competition, we never expected that we would win. We are now in our 26th year of trading since opening in Bracknell town centre, and this is a great way to celebrate.”
Helen Barnett from the Bracknell Regeneration Partnership (BRP), which is working closely with the Borough Council on the proposed 750m town centre regeneration scheme, said: “BRP are delighted that Dave Allen has won this prestigious award. We’ve certainly been keeping our eyes peeled for corgi’s in the town centre ever since learning of ‘Her Majesty’s’ plans!”
