Bracknell Forest in Bloom 2004 winners will be rewarded for their green-fingered gardening at a blooming wonderful awards ceremony at Stirrups Country House Hotel next month!

The winners were all chosen last summer as part of the 15th annual Bracknell Forest in Bloom competition and will receive their prizes, certificates and wall plaques on March 8 at a special ceremony to mark their achievements.

Bracknell Forest in Bloom is organised by Bracknell Forest Borough Council as part of its commitment to Local Agenda 21 to improve the quality of life in the borough in a sustainable way.

The competition is open to all residents of the borough including community and business groups and recognises the efforts of the community in enhancing the local landscape and providing the borough with an environment to be proud of.

The hard work of the winners and runners-up is being rewarded with the ceremony hosted by competition sponsors Stirrups Country House Hotel.

Cllr Terry Mills, Executive Member for Environment, said: “Every year I am impressed by the hard work and effort made by individuals and groups across the borough as part of this competition and last year was no exception.

“The standards were high and the winners and runners up should be congratulated for their achievements but also for the fantastic way in which they brighten the borough for everyone.

“Every front garden is a potential entry and I look forward to seeing gardens and green areas across Bracknell Forest spring into life for this year’s competition.”

Details of this year’s Bracknell Forest in Bloom 2005 will be available on Bracknell Forest Online – www.bracknell-forest.gov.uk.

The competition is open to entries from residents. Both residents and non-residents who have seen a garden in the borough which has really impressed them may also nominate entrants.
